This 1988 Honda Acty Pickup is a JDM Kei micro truck that was recently imported from Japan. It is sold with a clear Maryland title and all of the proper import documentation including EPA, DOT and customs paperwork. It was previously under long-term ownership in Japan and has 63,750 kilometers (39,600 miles) from new. It is said to run and drive well with its 550cc 3-cylinder 12 valve engine paired to a 4 speed manual transmission.
The paint shines nicely and the seller says the body is very solid. The doors open and shut crisply and the tail gate and side rails go up and down easily. There are a few small scratches and dings here and there, but overall it presents well. Check out the seller’s walkaround video below.
There is no rust other then some superficial surface spots where the paint has chipped away. Yokahama tires have a lot remaining tread. The spare tire, jack, and lug wrench are present.
The interior is in good condition with clean dash, door panels, headliner, and vinyl seats. The driver’s seat does have two small splits on the seams. Note the simple gauge layout with a large speedometer flanked by gas and temperature readings. All of the lights, signals, heater, radio, locks, and electrics work properly.
The rear-mounted engine is said to be strong with a surprising amount of torque. The transmission shifts nicely and steering, brakes, and suspension are all said to feel good. Check out this test drive video:
The truck is only 10’6-inch long and has a payload of 770 pounds (350 kg), and matches utility with great fuel economy. The seller likes these esoteric JDM vehicles and has enjoyed taking the Acty to his local Cars N Coffee.
